Still learning

Quite a wide variety of subjects. All of these are nicely composed and executed (good exposures, focus, and framing). Very nice closeup work and that isn't the easiest target to get right. Looks to me like you are on the right track.

Thanks Alan. Trying to not go over board with the editing. Really easy to do so. Every day I try to take a photo and edit it. These were some I thought were worth sharing

This is how I learned photography. My parents lent me their Pentax K30 during my time in France and because I couldn't get a job, I learned the camera. I took thousands upon thousand of awful photos of everything you could think of, until I got better at it.

My favorite shot of the set is the ribs just because food is delicious. The hello kitty face in the background is interesting.

Definitely have taken a lot of terrible pictures so far 😂 I was an active skateboarder for nearly 25 years and the only way I improved was to just keep trying and have fun with it. Applying that to every thing else in my life has worked so far.

The ribs is probably my favorite as well. The toaster is Nikki's and she was thrilled it made an appearance 😊

Hey Ben,

It's been a while, I am glad you jumped on today and updated us with how you are doing.

I like your images, and I definitely see you are improving and growing as a photographer! You have some really sweet images here. It looks like your technical skill is catching up to your vision.

The ribs made my mouth water if that's any indication as to how good that photo is!

Thanks Jim! Yea, it's been a while but haven't stopped. Spent a good amount of time just learning and practicing. Seeing what works for me and what doesn't. I feel like my technical abilities have gotten better. 👍
And the ribs were absolutely delicious and tender. Next time I smoke a pork butt I'll get pictures of it before it's shredded 😋
