Summer Time at Brainard Lake

A mid July day at Brainard Lake with a nice veiw and reflection of some of the mountains in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area.
I need this reminded that warmer days are ahead after a week of very cold weather and snow forecast for tomorrow! :(

Looks like a nice place to visit - in mid summer. Very scenic looking area.
Yes it is a very nice area to visit Alan, Red Rock Lake, Blue Lake and Long Lake are in the vicinity as well as the gateway to the Indian Peak. It is a can't miss area about 5 miles from Denver and if you are lucky you might also see a moose or 2 in the area! ;)

A very beautiful scene you’ve shared—and it appears enjoyed by several others as well!
Thanks John for your comment, appreciated! ;)
Brainard Lake is a very popular area with a large camp ground and every picnic areas. It is also the western gateway to the Indian Peak Wilderness Area. :)

Hey Larry, that's a fun area. I have hiked up in there, though not as much as I would like. It has great wildflowers in the summer, but also has great mosquitoes. :)
