I was using camera movement with a 300mm at f/40. I thought that between the movement and the diffraction it should put me in the ballpark.

Excellent work. How is it that the lake edge is straight and cleanly separated from the mountain while the upper half of the photo has that ghostly motion blur? In any case I like how you cropped it like this into two halves that contrast with each other.
