Super Pollinator

I captured this bee almost covered with pollen inside a cactus blossom. I used a Sigma SD1 Merrill and the Sigma 105mm macro lens.

Is this stacked or with a beet small aperture. Nice dof from the inside of the flower to the petals.

I have lots of fun with bees and cactus flowers each year at our local park, around June and July.

Hi Jameel I don't try to do stacking with bees, they move too much and make stacking difficult.
For this image I shot at about a 60 degree angle looking into the middle of the flower and shot at F:8.0.
This worked pretty good and got the bee and the stamen sharp as well as the petal behind the bee.
The petals in front part of the flower are out of the focus plane and pretty soft. Some parts of the lower front petals are in focus.
