A visiting C5A Galaxy taking off on a very foggy morning many years ago, I was waiting at the end of the active runway with my trusty Minolta X500. on hearing its approach I was ready and managed one shot, a rapid wind on, point and fire, not knowing what I had got until the film was processed, Fuji Velvia slide I think, It was my preferred film at the time,

Sure is a big sucker. Fun sequence. The sound must have been deafening when it went overhead.

Awww... Minolta! My first real film camera was a Minolta.


Great job with this. We are spoiled today Jon. Back in those days it often was you got a chance for 1 photo and that was it. And as You said, you were left not even knowing if you did capture it until the film got developed.
