We have had so many guys here posting these awesome images of the Lion Nebula, that I had to get out and capture it for myself. So thanks to the inspiration you guys!
I went out to Joshua Tree National Park on Wednesday night to capture this. The skies were clear, the wind had been forecasted to be in the 10-20mph range which is more then I would like, but it ended up being only around 10mph, so that was great.
In hindsight, I should have rotated my camera for this, I wanted the Lion to be standing flat on the ground, as it is, he is tilted. I guess this gives me a good reason to go capture it again sometime.
