The Monks of Cambodia

Cambodia is a nation of Buddhists. Most all young men spend around 6 months in service, some stay years longer, some stay the rest of their lives. We saw them everywhere among the Temples of Angkor. The few nuns that I saw were considerably older. These were made back in February 2006 with my first DSLR, the 6 megapixel Nikon d70.

Great job with the good old D70. That was also my first DSLR. The digital cameras were finally at a price point that I could justify getting one.

I like this series, I think there is something to having to be in a group like the monks, or military to serve while younger that can build some character into a person.

Nice rendering of the robe colors and some good images all the way around.
Thanks Alan, those saffron robes really stand out in any light. Monks can't hide from anyone. 😁

Thanks Jim, I agree, belonging to a group and learning some discipline is good for everyone.
