Thanks so much Alan, I agrree! What's interesting to me is that the aurora was so intense it filled the ground with red too.Red Dirt Road doesn't have quite the same ring to it as Yellow Brick Road
The road is a nice leading line for the ground portion of the scene.
Thanks Jameel. Yeah, so many jaw dropping images taken all over that night.Quite a color show. I saw some from the Alberta area and they are jaw dropping ones.
Ha ha, thanks Michael!Another lovely image of the aurora from that night.
I giggle every time I see the word Chugwater. It just sounds so funny to me.![]()

Thanks Oliver! As I travel I take mental notes of locations that are photogenic, this is one spot. When time was short because I had things to do with the Grandkids, I needed to find someplace within 1 to 2 hours away from my daughters house, and this was one that was on my list. It was the closest, so I stopped there to take a test shot as it was dark as I was getting there. The Northern Lights were showing, so I stayed. I am glad I did, as the timelapse I am working on is looking super cool with the windmill. As the wind picks up and dies down during the night, the windmill spins and stops throughout the night so I think that was cool to see.Jim, this is gorgeous, I love the weather vane in the picture, it's the perfect fitting.
