Thor's Helmet - It is that time of year....

When all I can do is reprocess old data! I decided to show the first edit from 2022 and yesterday's edit of the same data! It is actually fun to see the changes. Of course this year I have used the most recent tools, but more than that, I have employed nearly 4 years worth of post-processing experience. If I get any clear nights next month I hope to add more data to this project. I appreciate what I have learned and especially how the Astro community has shared its knowledge and experience. Even though I am old learning is still fun. I am excited to see what 2024 will bring, even if I have to wait until summer for some new data -[ darn clouds anyway.]

Wow Andy! You really made the new version shine! I should go over some of my early works too.

What a world of difference!

Are you able to go into more detail about what you’ve changed in your processing to cause that big of a difference?

Night and day difference - that second one looks like new data compared to the first rendition. The tools we have are really improving before our eyes, just like you show here between these 2 versions.
