Time to Reflect

This was a scene that caught my eye near the mouth of Sweet Creek while I was down there in late October. I couldn't find the spot I wanted for the reflections I had in mind so I grabbed my drone and flew it to where I wanted to shoot from. About 3 or 4 feet to the left would have been better yet but I was hovering about 2' away from a tangle of branches in that direction and decided this was good enough for the occasion. Mavic 3 Pro using a 70mm focal length.

C&C always welcome.

I can see why you wanted to move just a hair more to the left, but I totally understand why you didn't. :)

This looks really cool, and it shows what a great tool a drone can be. You take advantage of situations with your drone way more then I ever get too. Mostly because it's rare it seems when I am in a location where I can actually use a drone. But I do remember the days, long before drones where there was a time or two I mounted a camera on a long piece of wood in self timer mode and held it out to get it up into the air higher or out of a cliff drop off more. Crazy times, that sure would have been great for a drone.

Thanks Jim - I had the warning graphics on my screen for how close I was to the branches on the left so decided to would have to be good enough. I have extended the legs of my tripod out and hung it out over bridges and the likes in the past but this is a much more elegant solution. It wouldn't have helped in this case since I was at least 20' out away from anywhere I could stand. I have learned from past experience its hard to get a shot like this with a 24mm lens since you would be so close your prop wash would break up the reflections.
