Tom Till to retire after 40-year landscape photography career

Sorry to hear that happening, but we all are getting older I guess. Now he can just go out and photograph for fun, so that's good.

I am guessing he is in his 70's, but the article didn't give his age unless I missed it.

What's sad is that there will be no real galleries in Moab and the space will probably end up occupied by another real estate company.

You're right Jim, he's 74 or 75 I believe.

I first came to the Moab area 2000. I had just bought my first Canon camera an Elan IIe. My wife (fiancé at the time) and I hiked Arches and Canyonlands. We walked into the gallery and it inspired me to take better photos and learn about light and how to capture it. I came to Moab this week to see the ring of fire eclipse and was waking in Moab to grab something to eat and saw the gallery is closing. I am so glad I got to go through it one more time.

They should change his last name to thrill ! What a career of great shots from a time when many more people would pay for such pictures !

That guy definately uses marshmellow grips on his tripod !
