Venus and fishing regs.

This morning at Pickthorne Lake, @30 minutes before true sun-up. Two shot vertical pano using 20 and 30 second exposures. Headlights briefly providing the dock illumination.

I do have to confess that I haven't considered making fishing regulations a subject in my landscape scenes before. It does make for a curious combination here - the colors in the clouds look pretty nice but I find that the headlight illumination on the docks keeps my attention down in front. Still scratching my head on this one......

I hear ya! Just trying to be a little different this morning. Of course several would say I'm a little different anyway!

Hey Barry,

Very cool color in the sky. I like the idea of painting the dock, but for myself I would go much more subtle with the light and I would definitely darken the grasses in the lower right corner so that all of the light was on the dock itself.

Similar to Jim, but maybe consider tapering the light down the right side of the dock. The fishing regs sign, though, I'm not so sure about. It's sort of like a visual stop sign.
