I like the centered focus of the “lake” in your composition. Nice.

Yes it can be nice and cool up there this time of year. The elevation of the pass summit is 12,126 ft.

We are going over Cottonwood Pass on the way to Crested Butte in late July or early August.
Hopefully the wild flowers will be popping then.

That's a good time for the high passes and wildflowers! Hopefully you get some. I might be down there as well, but not sure yet.
