Wilderness Yoga

I often ask my wife to pose in a good spot to complement all my pure landscape shots to lend a human element and sense of scale. She likes to do yoga outside, so I usually ask for a simple tree or warrior that is easy to do standing for a while as I take a few shots. These are all in Capital Reef.

Nice set, it's must be a real treat to have your wife travel with you. I think I would like to see her closer to you in these shots, you may not get the perspective as much but the human element would be strengthened.

Very nice. The third is very intriguing. Capitol Reef is one of my favorite locations -- so much to do. Your concept brings life to these remote locations.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Yes, I am lucky to have a wife who likes to camp (in a van - harder to get her out backpacking these days) and hike with me. Of course that is part of what attracted me to her in the first place, but I'm sure glad she still likes it in retirement. It can be a challenge (as I've mentioned in some other posts) to balance my photo obsession with her pace and interests. We work together on every trip compromising in various ways.
