With each powerful stride in the deep snow, the coyote searches for hidden prey. I hoped to witness the dramatic headfirst leap, but no rodent stirred beneath the surface. The hunt continues.

Still some neat shots of this dude on the hunt in the deep snow even if you didn't record the kill.

I have seen some great leaps with these guys catching rodents. On nature shows. Then in the behind the scenes segment at the end they interview the photographer who mentions he was out in the snow waiting for a week or two for the shot they put in the show.
