Wishing for Winter

We are slated for some hot days ahead in the Pacific NW so I dug out a nice reminder of a mid winter morning sunrise out along the southern Oregon Coast. This actually won't be such a nice day down there today either as Brookings can get a lot warmer than most of the Oregon coast with conditions like these and will be only a couple of degrees cooler than us with just below 90º this afternoon. A far cry from the scene below shot in mid December.

C&C always welcome.

A lot of Portlanders flee to the coast every time we get a spell of consecutive hot days. To me that's the worst time to head there because of the crowds. I'll just do my hikes in the mornings and turn on the A/C at night.

Nice sky in this image. And it does feel pretty cool!

Thanks Michael - the northern coast will be considerably cooler over the next 3 days so the crowds will be worse than usual too. US101 in Rockaway will be pretty much a parking lot and Seaside/Gearhart (Gearside :)) won't be much better. Good time to have central AC.

Great light you had. Regardless of the weather, I'd settle for conditions like this for making images.
Thanks Jameel - conditions like this is why I kept going down to Brookings so often. I could get from my RV in the campground down to this beach on foot in less than 5 minutes while the gates to drive down there were still closed.
