This young bull elk was munching on grass in Rocky Mountain National Park, just across from a area where Kathleen and I were parked. Thank you Mother Nature! ;)

Hey Larry! It's always great when the wildlife comes to us! I never have the patience to sit around and wait for them to show up, so I need them to come to me. :)

Always nice to have a neat subject wander up for a portrait. Doesn't seem terribly concerned over your presence.

Hi Jim, the whole story for this image. Kathleen and I had just finished a potty stop in RMNP and got into our car when a group of about 10 elk walked by us heading down the road to the potty stop. We started our car and followed them until they stopped to feed and rest in a small meadow across from a parking area. We of course stopped, grabbed our cameras and started shooting. The shoot lasted about 10 minutes then the elk trotted back up the road passed the potty stop and into some deep timber and were gone!

Hi Alan the elk in RMNP seem to have no problem posing for people. I have taken some very nice shots right along Trailridge Road ;)
