I don't usually take, or like to take, portraits but my young grandniece needed a headshot for the program and play she was in, so I gave it a go.

D750, Nikkor 80-400 at f/5.6, 1/250 sec, ISO 400, 300mm, hand held with bounce flash.

Hey Mike,

A wonderful job here with your grandniece. The B&W looks great, her pose is awesome. The only thing I would think that could have been done different was to have not cut off the top of her head. It's not super obvious with it being darker up there, but it is cut off a smidge.

Thanks Jim. Yep, I agree and have the top of her head still firmly attached in the original exposure. I reviewed the previously printed theatre programs with the accompanying "headshots" and found they were mostly face shots, so I just followed suit. I did add some vignette to focus more attention on her face... Mike
