The Draw of Death

It's funny, talking with @AaronRashid we both got the same pull to capture more of the dead Joshua Trees and plants when we were out there last week. So this is one I found on the drive out. The normal 30 minute drive out from where I was at, ended up taking 2 hours because I kept stopping at almost every dead Joshua Tree or Cholla. :)

In this one, to me, it feels like the Joshua Trees are bending in towards the dead Cholla, especially on the right side. Like Death was Drawing them in.

This is Infrared, and for those not familiar we do have a really awesome Infrared section here, please be sure to visit it from time to time if you don't already. :)

This is really awesome Jim!
It’s almost like the trees are mourning the chollas passing. And the IR makes for some really interesting visuals

I'm not usually a fan of color IR, but the Joshua Trees work really well at 590 nm. Well seen!

Jim, this is a nice original -coversion, the contrast toning gives an outwardly apprearce, I love it.

What an artistic capture Jim, love the colors and beautifully balanced composition, the only thing that kinda bugs me is the vignetting on top,
great work.

Cheers.

I appreciate that a lot. It has the channel swap on it, so the vegetation would normally be orange, I just did a slight Hue adjustment to turn them more yellow.

Hey Andrey! I appreciate that so much! The vignetting wasn't added, it just happened as I adjusted the contrast. But I am glad you like the rest of it as I am trying to be more artistic with the Infrared.
