the plan was to take some toy photos on the beach yesterday, but plans changed quickly. so this was done today in the yard instead.

thanks guys. jim, it's all about getting in low and using a shallow dof. i used a two light setup on this, one to the right directly on the troopers, another to the left pointed towards a reflector and bounced back. the red trooper is using a flame thrower, but i was too lazy to make flames coming out so it's shooting lasers now. and his left hand wouldn't stay put.

alan, the dirty air is loose dirt being blasted into the air with a pneumatic drain cleaner. i used a cable release and locked the shutter down so i could spray the can of fog and blast dirt at the same time. the laser beams were added in using photoshop.
