Lilies and Raindrops

Your yard must be beautiful, Alan. Thank your wife for me.

My mother had Lilies of the Valley in our yard when I was a kid. I loved the fragrance.

I think those lilies might be Tiger lilies, Alan.

Thanks Doug - Our house is a bit different in that there are very few views of the backyard from inside and no door leads out to the back besides a second floor slider in the master bedroom. You have to go out a side door of the garage to get back to the garden and see the blooms.

Nancy insists that this is a day lily as the bloom always points upwards while Tiger lilies point down. The spots on the petals are quite minimal compared to Tiger Lilies. We do have Tiger lilies growing in the Cascade forests.

I agree with Douglas, your yard must just be gorgeous!
Thanks Darcy!

Nice colors for the lilies. Quite an assortment of flowers in your yard. You should post a top down view of your garden.

We had some rain as well and it was very welcome.

Thanks Jameel - the view from above is mostly going to be mostly the branches of two 70 foot cedars that shade the garden area and keep the afternoon sun off of our house.

Here is a view from an iPhone shot a couple of weeks ago:
