Some more shots of the Purple Sandpiper, Calidris maritima. We had a problem getting the sun behind us without disturbing the birds, but after a while we did manage it. It's always a problem on the east coast.

Great shots of them, and I bet the angle of the sun would be a problem unless you are getting up for sunrise on the East Coast?
