Mule Deer Buck

Found this mule deer just outside of the Red Rocks Park. He was in rut and had 4 young female deer with him.

Great shot Larry. I presume the black lines in the sky are where you've tried to remove a fence. What did you use?

Thanks Alan, it was a lucky catch. I was driving toward the entrance to Red Rock Park when I spotted this guy and the does just off the side of the road. I pulled the car over about 50 yards past the deer, grabbed my camera and the 50-500 mm lens and walked back to where I saw the deer. They were still there and watched me a few minutes before hopping over a 6 ft fence the trotting away.

Thanks Jim, he was on a small rise next to the road. He was 8 to 10 feet above where I was standing on the road which account for the shooting angle.

Thanks Kevin it was a nice experience! The black line are part of the fence the tried to remove using Photoshop on my laptop computer.
thanks for catching that, I need to reprocess on my desktop computer where I have a better control of the cloning process!
