My fav beaks of the peaks

Apologies for the photo dump but I’m going to break etiquette and drop a few pics from my recent trip to the Peak District.

Blackcap (my Merlin app said it was a flycatcher based on its call so I’m not sure)

Nice collection of beaks and of course the rest of the birds they are attached to I love the colors of the goldfinch in your area. Much more interesting than the ones I see in the Pacific NW.

Hey Danny, I saw your title and I took a minute or so to try and decide what exactly beaks of the peaks would be. My mind went to the peak of a mountain as that's where I will be soon. So I was thinking that maybe you had climbed a peak and found some birds way up there.

But... your reality was better then my fantasy! In reality, I haven't seen too many birds on the peaks I have climbed, you got a lot better variety in the Peak District.

I think #1 and 6 are my favorites, though all are really well done and were enjoyable to look at.

Thank you. I was pleased to capture the warblers. You can hear them a mile away but they are quite hard to photograph.

The Peak District was beautiful. Baron moorland with rugged tors and then a few miles later lush pastures with rivers and waterfalls. Very much reminded me of Dartmoor when I was growing up.
