You know this peak if you ever saw the original True Grit film (1969) with John Wayne. I saw it while on a backcountry drive along Owl Creek Pass. It was raining on and off throughout the drive and I had to wait at several photo spots for the weather to ease up a little so I could make photos. 665nm converted Nikon d90.

Nice use of IR with this scene - extra yellows in the aspen and the gold evergreens almost look like larch trees in the fall.

Awesome work Michael! I have been there quite a few times as it's a fun place to shoot. I like your take in IR on it, as it gives it a Fall Color feel.

I almost cropped out that fence. I thought leaving it in kind of felt unbalanced since there is no counterpoint on the other side. But when I cropped the fence out, I didn't like the result of having no space at the bottom of the trees.
