Tobacco leaf macro

I posted a picture of a plant bug on a tobacco leaf in Winged Wednesday. In that image I was intrigued by the tiny projections on the surface of the leaf.
I brought one of the leaves into the house to see if I could get a stacked image with no wind. It was marginally successful but due to the undulations in the leaf I found it difficult to pick a suitable area. Anyway here is the result of my best effort.

Interesting close up of a plant I have never seen in person. Are the little globules at the end of the stalks sticky? They look like they might be.

Hi Alan. The globules are a mystery still. They look like they should be sticky. When you touch the surface it feels soft and you don't come away with a sticky feeling but it catches lots of debris and dead insects among the leaves. I'm still working on getting a better close up.

This does look like an Alien world! How interesting how that looks. I think you did great Trent, that's not an easy item to capture in macro.
