Rocky sunrise

Got some nice light on my latest sunrise at the Alabama Hills. The high peaks lit up briefly, then the lower ones, then everywhere around me. It was great while it lasted.

Love it Michael! That is some really cool light and I like the cloud movement.

The morning light is so special in that part of the Eastern Sierra for some reason that I don't know.

nice timing on the clouds. the moving, cool colored clouds next to the static, warm colored rocks really shows off the opposite nature of elements.

Thanks for commenting, I love having the combination of some photogenic rocks along with moving clouds. And the eastern Sierra has plenty of both!

Thanks guys! I have a new set of magnetic filters and I'm loving them - makes long exposures much less frustrating!

No, the good light was snuffed out by some distant clouds, lasting only a few minutes. I only shot with the 70-300 that morning.
