you pretty much have to let it hover when it's gusting hard and hope you don't lose it. we had anemometer setup up wind so we had a good guess when something was coming. it also killed the battery life, esp. when we had to fly into the wind.
Thanks Michael - this post is from 2021 so I'd like to hope I could do better than this by now. This was the first time I tried editing video clips together like this. It was a bit hard to relax with how hard the wind was blowing that day. Easier to do watching the video
likely a mavic 3t. it was gusts at 50 mph, i think sustained were around 20-30. we were mostly with the wind at our side and not at the front, but for the most part you just stop and hovered (or watched it move and hoped it didn't fly away) until the gust stopped and you could resume inching it back home. i know one of those flights we landed it and walked over to pick it up. this was right after a tornado went through a town.
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
