Cascade Cloud Show

It's been a while since I have seen a nice sunrise color show with mornings either being completely cloud free or completely cloudy. I dug out an unprocessed shot from late January in 2024 to remind myself of what a good combination of clouds and sun should look like. Single frame at 166mm shot from roughly 300' above my house looking at Mt. Adams in the distance.

Thanks Michael - what (or who) do we need to sacrifice on one of our local volcanos to get more sunrises like this? I hate naked skies (like today)

Neat. the low fog over the houses add a lot to the image. Mt Adams with the snow cover looks great.

Thanks Dave - mid winter is often when I get the best sunrise color shows in between storms. Your guess on the locale is correct as I live in the northwest Vancouver WA metro area.

Thanks Andrey - I will look at some crops. I left this in the original aspect ratio and a 3:2 with the crop at the top might work well here.
