A Bit Later On.....

We have an interesting scenario where Jameel and I were both shooting the same sunrise with our drones on the same morning but 120 miles apart. This is a shot looking towards the northeast with Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams visible. The shot has a time stamp showing it was taken 5 minutes before the shot Jameel posted last night. On a clear day the very top of Mt. Rainier can be seen just to the left of St. Helens but as Jameel's image shows the top of Rainier was in the clouds.

This is still not quite at peak sunrise color as seen from the Portland/Vancouver area.

C&C always welcome.

It was indeed one to write home about. 120 miles of good photography doesn't happen that often!
Thanks Michael - kind of fun to think that some of the clouds just beyond St. Helens are the same ones in Jameel's view from up north. This sunrise was a really welcome change from endlessly empty skies or complete cloud cover.

Nice range of colors from the blues all the way to the orange. The peak colors tend to dominate the oranges more.
Thanks Jameel - I didn't think to look at the time stamps until after I had processed this one. I should try to see what shots I have that match when you took the shot you posted.

Wow, that must be some spectacle..
Thanks Andrey - nice to see you poke your head in the door here again. We hadn't seen a good sunrise spectacle for months up here in the Pacific NW prior to this one last Wednesday. The cloud spread was just right so the folks up in the Seattle area like Jameel got a piece of the action at the same time.

Nice to have some time, sounds like you got a bonus for not having good light for some time
