I'm going to call these landscapes even though the main subjects are not the land itself. I spent a week in North Dakota seeking old crapped out abandoned structures. Some were in better condition and some were outright dangerous to enter, which I did every time. It was certainly a different type of photo shoot which made it exciting. Here's a sampling...

If you actually entered that first one you are braver than I am - that looks like it's ready to collapse at any minute. Great subject for an outside photo however. I love the series - very nice work with the antique and broken down structures. I like the crumbling plaster and cracked paint shots.

I am loving these Jeffrey! What a great week you had up there, you definitely scored!

I want to pick favorites, but every time I scroll through the photos I end up picking them all. :)

I hate to try and pick favorites, because I did enjoy them all, but I will pick #1,2 5, 8 as the real standouts!

Jeffrey, each image is great—I especially love numbers 1, 2, 7, 8 and 10. Of course, number 5 is well captured and good to see again!

Really nice series, Jeffrey! Curious about what spurred your interest in the subject. Did you feel a little odd going into these places?

Thanks Monika. I've always liked old historic stuff. I have a gallery on my website titled Rust, Funk, and Junk. I live in a house that is 140 years old. When I find and explore the interiors of these old homes, there are so many stories to be told (or made up!).
