This is photo #2 from my Rhyolite Ghost town visit a few weeks ago. It wasn't ideal for the Milky Way since the moon was at 40%, but I had lost track of my days and thought I was getting there the day before, which would have had the moon closer to 25% which is normally my limit, with my preference being 10 to 20% moon to help light paint the ground but not blow out the MW.
After the core of the MW moved behind the Cook Bank Building here in the previous image, I moved my setup about 50 feet to get the late season MW arching over the building. I don't normally move my timelapses once I start them, but I really didn't want half of the MW to get lost behind the building.
This is cropped from the original 10mm view.
