This tree had several nests mainly Cormorants and 2 Blue Heron. This image is of an adult Heron flying out of the nest a few days after 3 of their 5 chicks hatched.
Thanks Alan for your comments, appreciated!
The 2 large tree in that park fell down a couple or years ago and the birds moved somewhere else to nest!
I am glad I spent 1 to 2 days a week for 3 months, one year shooting there while the trees were still upright!
Hey Larry...when I fist saw this image i thought what the heck is a GBH doing flying out of a nest with a Cormorant sitting in it???. Then I read your intro and it made sense. I had no idea the two species would nest in the same tree. Thanks so much for posting this.

Hi Trent, thanks for you comments, appreciated!
BTW there is a small island in the Denver City Park Lake, called bird island where the trees hold nests for Cormorants, Snowy Egrets and Night Heron. I watch the island for several years and watched the Cormorants crowd the other birds out of the best nesting sites.
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
