When Waves Collide

There is a small island called Goat Island just offshore from the beaches at Harris Beach State Park that splits swells as they arrive off the east Pacific. The swells converge on the back side of the island and with active surf create an interesting spectacle as they create colliding waves coming from different directions. With late afternoon light and a telephoto lens they can offer up some interesting photo opportunities.

Thanks Jameel - I shot this in single shot mode with a Canon 6D so no question at all on how much easier this type of shot would be with the R5m2.
