Hummingbird and Fuchsia

Captured the other day in my yard. Finally got a sharp one of these elusive buggers...

Very nice capture. Do you have some kind of blind set up or just randomly noticing them with camera in hand?

I have a bunch of fuchsia in my yard but all are planted in the ground and quite difficult to get under like your PoV here.

Nice capture, Kyle. I did a similar thing while house-sitting for a friend -- sat out on their deck between 2 hummingbird feeders & waited. It was a challenge for the tracking on my camera when they were zooming around.

I honestly didn't expect to get anything this sharp. I used my Panasonic S1RII which doesn't have the best autofocus, and I always felt like the camera was lagging behind the subject. As it turned out, I ended up with plenty of shots with sharp eyes.
