Careful - those teeth can turn your pack into shreds in seconds. We have a ton of those guys in our yard - cute to watch their acrobatics but they can do a lot of damage in a hurry if they go after something they want.

This was taken at Mt. LeConte Lodge, about 5.5 miles to the nearest trailhead. Our friend left her pack for just a few minutes and this guy got into this pack pocket to mangle her trail mix. We shooed him away and moved the trail mix. Undeterred, this is when he returned for another try... Mike

I wish I had the image just after this. He stuck his head and shoulders into the pocket and then pull out and looked at me, almost accusingly; like where did you move the nuts!
