Sea Stack Yaquina Head BW

Sea Stack Yaquina Head BW

Saw this scrolling by at the top of FW main page, and had to come and comment on it. Lovely work - one of those images that makes you not even notice that it is B&W. Very attractive composition, I especially like the angle you have here, almost looking down a bit on this seastack. And the exposure is perfect, holding detail in all the critical light and dark regions. Super - seems like one for the wall to me :)

Hi Mike; just noticed your comment. Thanks you very much. this was one of my favorites form a visit to the Oregon coast last spring. It was simple taken from a walkway on the bluff overlooking the beach, but like you I noticed that angle and the way the elements happened to come together from that vantage point. The color version is also pretty good, I think, but I also am partial to the graphic simplicity of the B&W. Thanks again!
