Nevada Falls

I like the light in that first image. I am a bit curious about the vegetation colors down in front - not so much from a color accuracy perspective but botanical. Those are almost close to fall colors on some of the deciduous specimens. Is this normal for this location? It looks beautiful in the warm light but leaves me with concerns.

Very nice view down the falls. I love the splash coming off of the rocks with this shutter speed.

Interesting effect with the waterfall Tim. Seeing the rock textures through the water is very interesting.

In the first image, the contrast seem to gradually increase from the top to the bottom of the image creating a nice visual effect.

Wow Tim!

I always enjoyed camping in Little Yosemite Valley, it's a fun little campground.

The golden light in #1 is just so sweet! But yeah, that view looking down will make you dizzy! :)

Thanks for the comments Alan, Jameel, Ben, and Jim!

Alan: I don't think there's cause for concern. I think they're just backlit in golden hour light. The brown is flowers!

Jim: Little Yosemite Valley was certainly interesting. They've improved the pit toilets a lot since I was last there, but people are still pretty bad about keeping things clean in the area (mostly not picking up toilet paper that they dropped and then tracking it out...

I'm not sure if the effect is appropriately subtle or too subtle on the waterfall shot. It was a 2 second exposure where I zoomed from 24 to 70mm in the last half second. You can see the effect if you know what you're looking at (I think).
