Thanks Ben - you are correct about the water flow. All of the garden water features (there are quite a few) are fed by pumps.
Thanks Jim - I have lots of captures like this one that have never been processed. I ended up with so many images that I only focused on processing the really exceptional ones that were easy to process. Newer software makes a lot of the more complicated instances of wide dynamic range easier to process into workable imagery.
Thanks Amy - If you are ever in Portland with a chance for a visit I highly recommend a weekday. Weekends during normal public hours can be a less than serene experience.

Happily still images do not have a soundtrack. Member hours overlap the garden maintenance hours so it is not uncommon to hear the sounds of leaf blowers cleaning off all of the walkways in various parts of the garden. Garden staff and photo members seemed to be about equal in numbers for most Sunday mornings.

This was actually a hard shot to get because that small bridge at the back of the scene is one of the most popular places to plant your tripod to shoot the Moon Bridge and the Pagoda so there is almost always someone there in the mornings. I have posted several images from that spot on FW to date (mucking up someone else's chance for this view)
There might be a couple of photographers lurking off to the side of the scene I am shooting just off to the side of that low concrete bridge. They have no clue I am shooting from behind them - there might be 2 or 3 more on the Moon Bridge itself shooting back towards the low bridge at the back of this scene and they are trying to avoid being in their shot.
