Last Light at Ruby

Some late evening light at Ruby Beach during a low tide. Ruby is a rather shallow beach so a very low tide allows you to wander out quite a way from the usual shoreline.

Very cool Alan, yeah the low tide was really cool. I like how that reflecting water just stretches out like that.

I need to get back up there again, I really enjoyed that stretch of coastline.

The wisp of clouds makes a sweet accent.

A really great combo of color and comp showing off your creativity in continually getting magnificent captures from these types of locations. Love it!

Classic Ruby, the low tide with the sand patterns in the foreground (I wish you had more of that) with the nice warm sunset light makes for a lovely image.

Many thanks for the comments. This was an archive shot from 2011 with a very nice sunset during one of the lowest tides of the month. The edge of the waves retreats almost 1/4 mile from the usual beach locations so there were a lot of opportunities for different than usual compositions to capture. It was a productive evening with close to 250 captures and very few rejects. I will look around for some with more interesting foreground sand patterns.
