Hope everyone is doing well and healthy. It's been awhile since I've posted, have been browsing and seeing the awesome envious work posted. My humble offering for Xmas

Did a 4 day 2000 Mile trip (LA - SF - Shasta - Crater Lake - Redwoods - LA)

I've forgotten a lot of processing stuff so if you see something to improve me, please let me know. Thank you. Have a Merry Xmas and a Great Great Great 2023!

Beautiful shot! Looks like you had some great light and clouds for this one. For me, I feel like the foreground trees are darker than they should be. If the original file allows you might try to bring those up a bit so that you can make out some detail. The other thing that you may want to try is to dodge the road and the grass on either side to strengthen the leading line towards the mountain. If you've applied a vignette to this photo you might want to try it again and just apply it only to the brighter areas.... What road was this on, btw?

Gorgeous sunrise(?) colors and early light on the mountain. Kurt has some good suggestions although I do like the focus on the mountain and the skies as you have pressed it.

Happy Holidays and nice to see your work again.

Kurt,
Thank you for the strong suggestions to improve this one. I do see things you pointed out and can be improved. I'll make some change before I print. This is on Hwy 93 going towards Klamath Falls from Weed CA. There is a pull out "Mt Shasta view point"

Hi Alan,
Yep, Sunrise. It's amazing how the snow on this mountain completely changes it. I was here 6 weeks prior to taking this shot and the mountain was bare....not even worth stopping for ...more of a look thru the window and "eh.." and keep driving.

Now is this an awesome image! It's great to have you back! I am going to have to put a chain on you this time to keep you here!

While this looks sweet, I agree that Kurt's suggestions will take up a notch.

Great drama in the skies, Sunny! I agree with Kurt & Jim on lightening up/bringing out detail of some of the foreground elements.
