Well its been a little boring around here and not much to shoot however we had a storm come through last night and I thought we might get a nice sunset with the clouds hanging around. I grab the gear and headed up to the park. Here is the shot under the influence of reflected light after the storm.
Shot at Little Long Pond in Harriman State Park, NY.
All comments welcome and thanks for viewing regards, Dean

This looks like it was definitely worth getting out to shoot. I like the composition with the cattails and water lilies anchoring the scene from down in front.

Yep, definitely worth getting out for Dean. A very peaceful and idyllic scene.

Good job Dean! :) If I might offer a suggestion, there is one very small thing that my eye keeps going back to, and it's the blade of grass touching the boulder in the pond... I think the image would look much better cloning the tip of the blade out and leaving a bit of room between the grass and the boulder. Just my .02 of course :) Best regards,

Vieri

Vieri,
Really good eye (not surprised )..I did not see that and it really dose make a big difference. I try to evaluate these types of things in the field and make adjustments accordingly when I have the chance. Thanks for your input.. I have attached a revised version with your suggestion.
Regards,
Dean

Love that spot, Dean; beautiful scene, sweet color. Well done. Interesting how Veri's tip adds to it; and I didn't even notice at my first viewing.
