I went down to Liberty State Park in NJ Sunday night to shoot the Moonrise, for most of you who do not live in the area, it is in Jersey City and has great views of lower Manhattan as well as the backside of the Statue of Liberty (see reference pano). The better night would have been 2 days...

Amy, Both re worked versions of #3 work well with contrast changes etc. but for me the cropped version works best. In fact i might even crop slightly tighter on the right and lose the road completely. To me it creates a fantastic FG with the 2 front rocks and focus is on the main event the...

Amy, Neat spot I like these. I’m with Alan of the 3 number 2 is very visually appealing with better balance to the comp. I also like the comp of #3, I like the b/w conversion which i think would benefit from some more contrast... if you convert #2 you may get better separation of the Light house...

Alan, You always find a way to organize a nice comp in these chaotic scenes of the PNW forest. You did here as well.. my first thought when I viewed this was to crop the trial off the top and then I saw Jameel was thinking the same.
