I visited Bisti Badlands this past weekend, what a fascinating place. Plan on revisiting in November in hopes to get better shots (hopefully more cloud cover).

As the town sleeps the old shines bright. (I used a Luma Cube LED to get a little more glow in the head lights, it's amazing the light that little puppy can put out.)

North side of the Grand Mesa (Colorado) looking to the west towards Utah, was a spectacular sunset last night.

Black Canyon of the Gunnison We tramp ascending trails, scant footsteps from the canyon rim, we look ahead and up, no need for looking down. The canyon stares at us with no flutter of interest, no ripple of welcome. The canyon needs no rim walkers to mark the edge of sky, it needs no halfling...

Not exactly what I was after when I went up there, but it worked out. I was there to shoot a sunset and this moved in. I shot this on my EOS-R in Bulb mode and left if open for 3 minutes.

Met up with Jim at the Black Canyon to see if we could get a good sunset shot with heavy weather conditions setting in, this is just before sunset.
