Northern Harrier finding prey below, time for a turn and dive

I had a nice day and decided to drive south about an hour and a half to where the Short-eared Owls hang out. Had a nice experience with them being very active.

Winter in the Pacific northwest has its challenges as most days are not photo days. Decided to go out anyway and do some action shots of the Gulls at the pier at Blaine. Cloudy windy, cold 38 degrees and sun low on the horizon. A good practice day. Next time.
