The aircraft did come up out of the water largely in one piece, the motor is still missing; they will go back to look for it next winter. The aircraft was cut apart to get it all onto the trailer to bring in home.
CF-JDO is found and retrieved from Peter Pond Lake, SK. The left side photo is not mine, and I don't have any other photos of the salvage.
Ray Gran, (the pilot) left, is seen on Aug. 10, 1959, in the background is the Cessna 180 which disappeared ten days after the photo was taken.
Darn, I forgot to add the photoshopped one...oops. Here it is. Mine? I wish! It is for $ale, can't imagine what the price tag tho.....

The latest info I've been able to dig up from aviators that have been flying in my province for many decades about this aircraft.
This Beech 18 belonged to the US Airforce, which was enroute to Flin Flon, Manitoba (CYFO), from (sorry,can't remember which US airport)
I don't have a date, but...
This was just water dropped for an airshow a few years ago. I'm heading back up North in another day, will take my camera bag with me this time! I didn't before, just to concentrate on learning to fly it and not be distracted. Stay tuned!

There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
