since I am having to stay home much of the day been working on learning new techniques and projects - the wild flowers here in AZ are out but we can't go out much closed all the public trails - got these cactus shots in the RV park we stay in

the wild flowers in Az are starting to pop - Poppies around Bartlett Lake and Picacho Peak , there are some starting along Hwy 60 toward Globe - this was taken with daisies in Mesa Az last week

this looks like the area outside of St George Ut - really interesting geology

just below the Sagauro Lake dam where the float tube people put in during the summer - I heard they are around the Granite Reef Dam/picnic area too

did not know they were on the river until a few weeks ago - took off this morning in hopes to see them - not the greatest shots but any otters are fun to watch

thanks all I need to go back again on a good morning see if I can get a cleaner shot - but I am happy that I finally got one

I have been trying to find one of these for several years but to no avail - recently a friend took me to a "secret" place and sure enough there were 7 of them roosting in the trees -not great shots but at least got a photo -

I set up to take the Mercury Transit across the sun - as I started to take some preliminary shots I noticed a jet making its way across the sun so I snapped a couple - the clouds were still thin and I thought would not get the planet too but was pleasantly surprised to get the planet, the plane...

a friend of mine has been shooting these guys so I visited her yard and got some interesting shots as they are about the size of a small pea and move very fast but they are really cute for a spider

it was so hard to find a clean place without trekking out a ways and we did not have the time to do that - thanks for the comments I always like input

spent a couple afternoons at White Sands while staying in Las Cruses - looking for the simple shots - one in color and one in BW

this a small stretch of a small creek that runs thru a wild life preserve I was just enthralled with it - could have taken shots all day long with the light changing - this was 2 different times

out looking for some birds in the Rockport Texas area when I changed directions and got this pano of a really scary looking cloud that ended up doing nothing - 6 shot stitch pano

spending some time in this area and looking for some specific birds the Rosate Spoonbill in particular - managed to find them hanging out in a local farmers pond which you could see from the road - they have to be a cross between outer space aliens and flamingos but are so interesting

I have been trying to get some good dragon fly shots - but proving hard as they just don't want to sit still so this one was a second choice -

we were driving back from a day trip to Houston TX - decided to grab this shot - my friend said that is the only way to see Houston in the rear view mirror
