Life Lines is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Aiken, SC. I liked how the backlighting really lit this canna lily leaf up and how the veins flowed out into the frame from the midrib.
Swirled is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Rye Patch in Aiken, SC. I found this very wet rose in the rose garden. I felt that the water and drops added to the overall abstract feel.
Hey guys!
Here is one from older days, had to re work it, in order to make it presentable.
I am considering re shooting it, using the better technology...

Great light to all!
Sap Channel is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at Dreher Island State Park in Prosperity, SC. This is another from the area where the beavers had chewed up some of the pine trees. I loved the two big drops and was able to witness sap running through the furrow.
Great entries boys and girls, looks like its going to be a tough choice here...

Good luck to you all.
Ogre Skin is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Rye Patch in Aiken, SC. I found it growing on a tree. Not sure what it is, maybe some type of moss.
Cracked is from my Naturally Abstract collection and composed at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, SC. It is also the first image in a sub-collection that I refer to as Stump Art. I liked the dried, abstract patterns and the nearly grayscale color palette.
Fountain Eggs is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, SC. I'm not sure what they are, but they appeared to be some type of egg on the surface of the water. The green leaves are duckweed (which also adds some scale to the eggs). I thought they...
Soaked is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Rye Patch in Aiken, SC. This is another one from Patsy's Garden. This is also another image where I used the flower as a very colorful backdrop and focused on the water drops.
Expansive is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Grove Plantation near Adams Run, SC. The thistle here reminded me of an explosion since it appears to be expanding out from the center in all directions.
Hey guys!
Me and @Avi Dobzinski finally made it to the city, it took month of self persuasion, and reminders.
:-)

Hey guys!
Here is one from few days ago, shot during our sunrise session with @Avi Dobzinski, close to Lebanon border, this hill caught on fire from a "friendly neighbor" missile, the fire was put off by firefighters from the ground and air.
This pretty much tells the story in abstract form...
Fractured is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at Dreher Island State Park in Prosperity, SC. This is pine sap, and I loved the crystalline or icy look. All of the scratches, gouges, cuts, etc. felt quite abstract to me.
Hey guys!
Here is one taken in Genova water park:

Saw Blades is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Aiken, SC. This was from one of those scenes where you know that it contains compositions, but you just can't seem to find what you want. But, you keep looking at it every time you're...
Ear Drops is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, SC. This is dew on lambs ear. I loved how the drops act like little magnifying glasses.
Purple Spots is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Aiken, SC. This foxglove had fallen off the plant and was on the ground. I took it, opened it up, spread it out flat on a wood chip, and used it as a subject. So, this is what one...
Gold Strips is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Grove Plantation near Adams Run, SC. The wind was well above my normal limit, and even with a plamp, the conditions were very challenging. It is a dried thistle head.
H 2 Oh! is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Rye Patch in Aiken, SC. I was lucky to keep most of my gear dry after the automatic sprinkler system came on while I was working the pansies in Patsy's Garden, but the good news is after it was done, I was able to create...
