While I was on my trip I knew I was going to have two full days with no clouds. So I drove to the needles part of Canyonlands and on my way I saw this amazing display! CC welcome
The Skagit Valley tulip fields are a big tourist draw this time of year. We just did a quick stop at one field on our way to dinner at Nell Thorn's in La Connor (highly recommended). I've shot them many times from the ground so I took my drone up for a quick look.

Here is one from last year up in the Eastern Sierra up above Rock Creek off of Hwy 395 in California. It's really great to be able to capture the wildflowers blooming like this next to the creek.

I got the idea to use a flat bed scanner on flowers at an art show. I came home and scoured the neighborhood for some flowers that were changing color in the fall then asked a neighbor if I could cut a few.
From the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden, along the Northeast shore of the Big Island of Hawaii...

I was out on my deck today seeing what I could capture with my 150-600mm lens. For this I took a number of shots at 460mm, f16, to focus stack on the purple flowers and leaves up front. I took a final shot at 6.3 to use as a background that was layered with the final focus stack and blended...
