That's a mouthful! But that's what everyone is calling this eclipse from May 25th 2021. As most of you know, I spent 7 hours driving around from going to the Desert and then to the beach and then ultimately back home where I ended up capturing this at 4:21am. It was a lot of driving to end up...
Somehow it feels a bit funny that everything has to have a name now. I look back and when I was young it we just called it a full moon. :)
This was out in Joshua Tree National Park during the Eclipse last week. The moon popped out briefly between the clouds along the horizon, I spent maybe 15...
This one looks like there is some cauldron up in the sky opening up to create the eclipse to me. Like some celestial pot was boiling and an incomplete moon is seen as a part of it's missing. :)
As some of you might know, for the Lunar Eclipse I drove over 7 hours yesterday going out to Joshua...
This was stacked from 7 images. I had issues with Autostakkert continuing to stack 2 images off from the rest, and they were in all of my stacks. So I reduced the number down to 10 and it seemed to do better.

I took 66 photos, converted them to tiff in ACR, and then used Autostakkert to stack them. I used 75% of the 66. I pushed the saturation a bit to get some color out of it.

Well, actually I guess it was the sky and not the stars, and actually it went more psychedelic and not psycho... But once I titled the timelapse and had uploaded it to YouTube, I wasn't going to modify it since it takes too long. :)
So this was from just leaving Furnace Creek to the North in...
I have been trying to get out and capture the moon each night for an upcoming project. So this is Wednesday nights moon which was at 91% when I captured it.
I incorporated some of the ideas from a video Yervant had shared in his recent Mineral Moon photo. (1) Mineral Moon | Focal World I...
Well, my app says it's 35% but I got to say it looks like it's almost 50%. But who am I to argue? :)
A single shot. I tried the Super Resolution mode in ACR, but while it enlarged it, I found that it added artifacts that weren't there, especially around the edges of craters. I need to try it...
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
